We are committed to preparing our students for the future. Underpinned by excellent English and Numeracy teaching and learning practice, students will be provided with curriculum and learning experiences that will develop values and skills such as loyalty, honesty and integrity, motivation, resilience, positive self esteem and enthusiasm.
Glen Waverley South Primary School offers an extensive Pre-Prep program to prepare children for their first year of schooling. We work closely with Kinders to ensure a smooth transition from Kinder to School for all students. Transition programs on offer include-
- Pre-Prep Program- To help students become familiar with the facilities, teachers and routines of school life
- Parent information sessions- Run in conjunction with the Pre-Prep program and offer parents learning opportunities to assist their child with the move from Kinder to School.
- Information Evening- Held in Term 2, providing information on ‘School Readiness’ and programs offered at GWSPS.
- Orientation Visits- in Term 4. A chance for your child to meet their classroom teacher and work in their future classroom.
- Prep Picnic- In term 4 to meet and great new families to the school.

Early enrolment will ensure a place for 2010. It’s easy simply follow these steps for a fantastic future at Glen Waverley South Primary School for your child.
Step 1- Visit the school for a tour. Make a booking by telephoning 9560 6371 or contact us by email
Step 2- Collect an Enrolment Pack from the school’s general office or contact us to have it mailed to you.
Step 3- Complete the enrolment form and submit it to our General Office to ensure a place for 2010.
Step 4- Enrol you child in our Pre Prep Program
Step 5- Attend the Parent Information Evening in Term 2 as part of Education Week Open Night.
Our Transition Program
Our Pre-school to Prep Transition Program will commence in Term 3.
