Our Classes

Glen Waverley South Primary School has two main buildings comprising seventeen attractive classrooms, a fully computerised, well stocked and spacious library, a global learning centre, an art and craft room and a multipurpose centre. All classrooms are centrally heated and air-conditioned. The new multipurpose centre will be used for music, performing arts, physical enducation sessions, gymnastics, school assemblies and for the Out of School Hours program.

Every classroom in the school is connected to the local area computer network and has access to the internet.

There is an average of 24.5 students in each class, with Level 1 and 2 classes averaging at 22.5 students per class.

 

The Level 1 Team

Our Level 1 Teachers are Mrs Stacey Honore and Mrs Julia Rankine.

During Term Two, Mrs Rankine is Acting Principal and Mrs Lorraine Ferrie will be teaching her class.

The Level 2 Team

Our Level 2 teachers are Ms Katelyn Collinson, Mrs Sue Hodgson, Mrs Sjaan Keen and Miss Tineke Zwarteveen.

The Level 3 Team

Our Level 3 teachers are Mrs Debbie Dimas, Mrs Helga Hendry, Mrs Jenny Lindholm and Mrs Leigh Sawyer. Miss Amber Somerset teaches Mrs Sawyer's class each Friday.

The Level 4 Team

Our Level 4 teachers are Ms Suyin Anson, Miss Kylie Harris, Miss Clare Read and Mrs Bronwyn Williams. Mrs Williams' class is taught by Mrs Elly Datsopoulos each Friday.

The Specialist Teaching Team

Our Specialist teachers are Mr Mitch LeFevre (Physical Education), Mrs Miyuki Manzaki (LOTE - Japanese), Miss Trudy Martin (Performing Arts) and Miss Amber Somerset (Visual Arts).

Support Staff

Our support staff are Mrs Elly Datsopoulos, Mrs Jacqui McIntosh and Mrs Sue White. Mrs White is also our Reading Recovery teacher.

Teacher Support Staff

Our wonderful teacher support staff are Sia D'Ambrosio, Vicky Goldsworthy and Winnie Lam.
